FREEPORT DRAIN WETLANDS - ACTIVE PROJECT

Equinox Engineering partnered with The Nature Conservancy of Utah to provide design of a new water control structure to replace a flood damaged and non-functional structure.  Equinox also provide the hydraulic calculations associated with the improved water control structure to prove on the water rights for the diversion location.  The new water control structure will allow for bi-lateral distribution of flow to adjacent wetlands with the use of a fixed crest weir while providing five inline bays each configured with stop logs and a headwall mounted canal gate to allow for additional diversion control and/or sedimetnt transport.
